Does it also tell the tenant why they might not have access? eg: non-payment, or outside of access hours, etc.  If not, they may think the app is just not working?

Hi Novi Office Warehouse: 

The new app does alert the customer if their access is denied for non-payment or outside of gate hours.  If a tenant is past due, it will say "unit or user suspended" and if you have a mobile friendly payment website, the renter can pay their bill with 1-click from the app (if you select the customized version of the new app when you signup).

Is the pricing on EasyCode 2.0 different from the current Easy Code system that's connected to Storlogix?

Hi Mike, 

The pricing is different for the new app.  The app still connects to StorLogix, so you're able to view and track all access activity in StorLogix 5.0 or higher.  There are a number of new features in the 2.0 EasyCode app, including: 

1-click access to the renter’s access code
Improved renter sign-up process
Full integration with PTI Door Alarms and compatible electronic locks
Multi-unit, multi-facility renters can now use one account to view and store all access data
White glove facility sign-up and on boarding
Customization and logo placement available
1-click payment links to your mobile friendly payment website
And improved connectivity and an enhanced API

The first generation app was our beta app that was available at the trial price of $1/month.

Is there a way to set a proximity restriction. For example, they can only use the app within 500 yards of the gate, to prevent opening gate when they aren't there to enter?

Does the operating storage facility get a monthly residual for tenants who sign up for the program.  We currently encourage tenants to purchase a keyfob that allows them access.  They pay $9.95 plus tax to purchase which gives us a nice margin.

The app is free to download.  What we're seeing is facilities chargining $1.00-5.00/month for each tenant using EasyCode.  Some facilities have seen as much as a 1400% ROI in year one with the app. We'd be happy to send you more information about ROI and charging for EasyCode. If you're using PTI StorLogix Software (5.0 or higher), then no upgrade is required.  If you have an earlier version of StorLogix, you likely wont need to upgrade any hardware either (just a software upgrade). I am confused -I may be missing something....If the app is free to download what is to stop the tenant from downloading it themselves and skipping out on paying the facility (that wants to charge $5.00/mo)? Please enlighten me :)

I assume in order to access/use the app the customers information would have to be put into the Storlogix just like it would with the keypad, information doesn't exist unless they are a customer.

I'm interested, but I tried the beta version and never got it to work, support couldn't seem to help me either, so I'm a little leary of investing in something that might not work.
